A suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting at a Mississauga restaurant in April has surrendered to police.
Peel Regional Police say 18-year-old Shamar Lawson Meredith turned himself in to authorities after a Canada-wide warrant was issued last week for his arrest.
Meredith is charged with frist-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Kamar McIntosh. McIntosh was shot and killed after an altercation inside a restaurant in the Hurontario Street and King Street area April 27, 2017.
Previously police said McIntosh was "targeted", but did not give a motive.
19-year-old Thulani Chizanga was charged in the homicide earlier this month and a 17-year-old has also been arrested in connection with the shooting.
Anyone with information relating to this investigation is asked to call investigators at the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau at (905) 453-2121, ext. 3205. Or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
