The OSPCA has been notified that they are being sued by Marineland for $21-million.
Stephanie Johns with the OSPCA would not reveal any details but told our sister station CKTB the lawsuit was filed yesterday.
A statement on the OSPCA website says it denies all of the allegations and will defend itself.
Johns says it cannot comment at this time as the matter is being referred to counsel and is before the courts.
It was almost a year ago when Marineland started facing animal cruelty charges.
They were facing 11 animal cruelty charges relating to the treatment of the park's land animals, including black bears, elk, deer, guinea hens and a peacock.
All charges were dropped by the Crown in August.
