The Mayor of Toronto pledges to stay out of discussions surrounding the future of Rogers Centre.
John Tory has declared a conflict of interest with ethics authorities at city hall.
He says its because of his role within trusts belonging to the Rogers family.
A written statement from Tory's office says while the trusts do not involve day-to-day business within the company, the Mayor has chosen to exclude himself from any matters regarding Rogers.
Rogers owns the Rogers Centre and its primary tenant, the Toronto Blue Jays.
The company has recently been looking into ways to renovate the stadium, including the possibility of re-locating to a brand new venue.
