Two men have been charged with the jaw-dropping attempted murder of an entire family.
Toronto Police say two men drove to a high rise near Finch Ave W and Duncanwood Dr at about 8 p.m. on April 30 with a semi-automatic gun.
From there, they followed the eventual victim who was driving a vehicle with his wife and two children, aged one and two inside. Police say "numerous" rounds of ammunition were fired into the family's vehicle.
Const. Caroline de Kloet could not say if the suspects knew there were children inside or why the victim may have been targeted.
The victim was shot in the shoulder and drove away from the scene. His wife and kids were not injured.
Tesfa Welsh-Hope and Jeangat Nsiah face a long list of charges including attempted murder, gun offences and failure to comply with a recognizance order. Police say they recovered large amounts of cocaine and marijuana while carrying out their search warrants and have charged both men with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
