City council in Mississauga has voted unanimously in favour of renaming a street in honour of Bianca Andreescu, who recently became the first Canadian to win a major tennis tournament.
Officials are still working out details, like which street will be used, and the official name of the street, Mayor Bonnie Crombie tweeted out the following picture, suggesting it would be called "Andreescu Way." The city is also planning some sort of rally or possibly parade, but says that is now in Bianca's court.
Andreescu won the US Open in straight sets, on the weekend, beating US superstar Serena Williams.
The Canadian 19-year-old, is now ranked 5th in the world.
