We know interim leader and Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli will be running in the Ontario Progressive Conservative leadership race, and we now know someone who will not.
Conservative MP lisa Raitt tweeted Saturday the job is not for her.
"I commend the #PCPO for opening up this race, allowing everyone a voice in selecting our next leader. While it will not be me, I will continue to work with our candidates across the province to ensure a new, @OntarioPCParty government June 7! "
Raitt also tweeted "It's a privilege to serve as Deputy Leader of Canada's Conservatives alongside our leader @AndrewScheer - Working together with the next Leader of the @OntarioPCParty we will deliver the change Ontario so desperately deserves."
At a snap meeting by Ontario PC caucus Friday after the resignation of Patrick Brown, they selected Vic Fedeli as the interim leader.
Hours later the caucus executive announced it would hold an open leadership race in March.
The Provincial election will be held June 7th.
