It's official.
Your natural gas bill is going down.
Thanks to the cancellation of the cap-and-trade in Ontario, natural gas bills were to drop $80. But, Enbridge says there's been an increase in the cost of natural gas, and higher transportation costs. That means, we'll be saving $29 a year. For the average home, that means a gas bill around $873.
In a release, Dave Charleson, the Vice President of Energy Supply and Customer Care at Enbridge says, "Natural gas continues to be the most affordable and reliable energy choice for home and water heating in Ontario. Over the past five years, natural gas has been less than half the cost of electricity or oil."
