The Municipal elections are a little more than 2 days away.
The revamped and reduced Toronto City Council grabbed a majority of the headlines after the Ford government announced it was reducing the size of council from 47 down to 25 seats.
After plenty of debating and legal challenges, Ford got his wish.
But how do Torontonians feel about the new norm at City Hall?
In a new Dart-Insight Communications poll conducted, a majority of those asked, 54 percent, find the change to Toronto council size acceptable versus 46% who say it's unacceptable.
Six in 10 people believe Toronto City Council will be more effective in getting things done with just 25 councillors.
Pollster John Wright confirmed the numbers to Dave Trafford on NEWSTALK1010 Saturday morning.
"Six in ten in fact on almost every element are either accepting of this or support the merits of it. You have to say that the 40 percent who are against this are very vocal and very entrenched so we tend to hear a lot from those folks."
As for Ford's work to this point as Premier, Wright points to an upward trend.
" His numbers have actually ticked up. His numbers for doing a job at Queen's Park are up to 41, so he's actually up 8 points."
That's up from 33 percent of the vote that Ford and his party received on election night in the city.
