19-year old Gavin Strickland was on a Toronto-bound coach bus from is home in Syracuse, NY on Thursday morning to retrieve what he feared might have been lost for good.
The teen's blue-green Nissan Versa was spotted on late Wednesday in the TD Bank Tower.
Strickland's story is that he was in Toronto for Sunday's Metallica concert and after leaving the show, he realized that he forgot where he parked it.
The teen spent some two days walking the streets and even sleeping on park benches while he attempted to find his missing vehicle.
It finally turned up in the TD Bank Tower after somebody surfing Craiglist responded to an ad asking for help.
Strickland says he's "really relieved" that the end of the ordeal is in sight, and adds that he's grateful that so many people in Toronto stepped up to help him out.
Strickland estimates his car would have racked up almost $200 dollars in parking fees while sitting empty in the Tower's underground garage.
He says the people at the parking office have promised him that they'll give him a break and call it even at $20.
