Nine-year-olds are supposed to be outside playing on their bikes or scooters, not a real car.
But Sunday in Mississauga, a child was involved in a collision, after being allowed to get behind the wheel of a neighbour's car.
According to Peel Police Const. Akhil Mooken, that's when the trouble started.
"The neighbour agreed, the child backed the vehicle up from a driveway and when they tried to drive it forward, they pushed the gas a little too much and ended up colliding with a vehicle in the adjacent driveway."
The incident happened in a neighbourhood near McLaughlin Road and Eglinton Avenue at around 6 p.m. Sunday evening.
Nobody was injured in the mishap.
Just a bruised ego for the adult, who may face charges for allowing the child to drive the car.
