You may already be packed up and on the road for your first trip to the cottage for the summer.
And if you're renting, you may like the sound of this.
Ever heard of a bunkie?
It's often a shed on a cottage property, but now owners are putting beds in them, and renting them out through Airbnb. Some are even renting for as low as $20 a night.
Mind you, you're really not getting much at that rate, other than a dry place to rest your head, but it does offer another option to the typical cottage rental.
And if you want, you can find some with more amenities, like two bedrooms, indoor plumbing and some are even winterized.
"The Bunkie is kind of a general term." says real estate agent Rosemarie King. "It can be a 10x10 shed, or it can be a winterized small cottage with full amenities."
It's worth saying that the more you get, the more you'll pay.
"Our range is anywhere from $1000 a week to really whatever."
While you may think it's crazy to spend money to rent a gloirfied shed, younger couples are diving in and scooping up these places all over cottage country.
