Ontario's top court has rejected suggestions Liberal Premier Kathleen Wynne acted in bad faith by selling off part of Hydro One.
The Court of Appeal sided with an earlier ruling dismissing a lawsuit against the province, saying the Liberal government's decision is immune to such legal action.
The court agreed the sale was a matter of ``core policy.''
As such, it could only be challenged if bad faith could be shown.
However, the Appeal Court said there was no evidence of bad faith.
The Canadian Union of Public Employees and other ratepayers had launched the suit, arguing Wynne and senior ministers were rewarding donors to the Liberals with the sale.
