In its first comments since last weekend's mass shooting, the National Rifle Association says the device the Las Vegas shooter used on his guns should be subject to "additional regulations."
Police have said that Stephen Paddock had about a dozen weapons outfitted with bump stocks, accessories that increase a weapon's rate of fire.
The NRA asks the U.S. government to "immediately review whether these devices comply with federal law."
The association adds, "Unfortunately, the first response from some politicians has been to call for more gun control. Banning guns from law-abiding Americans based on the criminal act of a madman will do nothing to prevent future attacks."
