A Toronto paramedic may have saved a life while off-duty after he snapped into action on Wednesday night.
Tasos Mouhterous tells NEWSTALK 1010 he was on his way home just before midnight, when he saw a parked car with flames coming from under the hood.
The vehicle was parked on a property near Yonge St. and Steeles Ave.
Mouhterous says he raced towards it and noticed a man in a drivers seat, who was at first not responsive.
He adds that once he managed to coax the man out of the vehicle, the man told him that he knew his car was on fire.
Mouhterous claims the man was stumbling, slurring his words, and seemed to be intoxicated.
Toronto Police will not confirm any charges.
