Two Toronto police officers accused of consuming marijuana, becoming distressed and calling 911 appeared at a disciplinary tribunal Tuesday morning.
Police tribunal documents allege Constables Jamie Young and Vittorio Dominelli ate a cannabis-infused chocolate bar seized during a raid at a pot shop in Toronto in late January.
The documents allege the pair were later surveilling a restaurant when they became distressed and called 911.
Young faces four misconduct charges and Dominelli faces six misconduct charges, while both face criminal charges, including attempt to obstruct justice and breach of trust.
The documents say criminal charges laid against seven people at the pot shop had to be thrown out because of the officers' alleged misconduct.
