It wasn't fireworks you heard near the Malvern Town Centre on Tuesday morning.
Police have a person in custody after a shot was fired into the air from the parking lot of the shopping complex.
The shot was fired around 11 o'clock on Tuesday morning, near Nielsen and Tapscott in Scarborough.
When police showed up, they found a shell casing in the parking lot.
A male has been arrested, but police aren't sure of their age, so they aren't saying if it's a boy or a man.
They also didn't have information on charges.
