Toronto police are on the scene of two seperate collisions that left one pedestrian dead and another with life-threatening injuries.
Constable Craig Brister tells Newstalk 1010 a call came in at 11:56 a.m. Sunday that a pedestrian had be struck by a vehicle in the Bloor Street West and Grenview Boulevard North area.
That person was pronounced dead at the scene. Bloor street is closed at Grenview blvd North for the investigation.
Finch Avenue was closed between McCowan road and Sandhurst Circle after a female pedestrian was struck just before 11 a.m. Sunday. The roadway opened just before 2 p.m.
Toronto police say the driver involved has been taken into custody on an impaired driving related offence.
