The OPP anti-rackets branch is busy these days.
The branch of the OPP has opened a preliminary investigation into the draft copy of the Ford government's health care plan, that was leaked to the NDP.
CTV has learned, documents related to the alleged breach, were just recently turned over.
The probe surrounds the alleged breach that happened in mid-January, when the NDP said it had been handed the documents from an unnamed source. Included in those documents was draft legislation outlining the overhaul of Ontario health care.
An Ontario Public Service employee was fired in February after a review, and the OPS also notified the OPP.
The anti-rackets branch is conducting the preliminary review, to see if there's enough evidence to trigger a full investigation.
This comes after the anti-rackets branch opened a review of the Ford government over the alleged illegal lobbying, first outlined by MPP Randy Hillier.
