OPP will be out in full force this weekend looking for those who aren't buckled up.
The Easter long weekend seatbelt campaign is underway and runs through Monday.
It's the law to wear a seatbelt in Ontario as a driver and passengers. You are also responsible for ensuring children in your vehicle are safely buckled in.
If you are found not wearing a seatbelt you face fines between $200 and $1,000 and two demerit points.
Some good news from the OPP is a 20-year low and steady decrease of seatbelt related deaths in the province.
45 seatbelt related deaths of OPP-patrolled roads happened in 2016.
