The OSPCA is hoping to find out more information after a badly burned dog was found dead on a property in Scarborough.
The small-breed dog was found on Monday, near McCowan and Highway 401, by groundskeepers.
The body of the animal was found burned in an off-white coloured cloth with a gold lead design. Investigators think it happened sometime between October 31st and November 7th where the body was found.
Officials haven't released the breed, age and gender of the dog, but investigators believe the dog had blond-coloured fur.
Now they are looking for information, as they try and piece together what happened.
"If you saw smoke in the area, or witnessed anything unusual, please come forward," says Alison Green, Senior Inspector, Ontario SPCA. "We depend on the public to be our eyes and ears and report cases of animal cruelty."
