The OSPCA has issued "Orders" for a dog sled company north of Barrie to improve the conditions its animals are living in.
Officers have been investigating the Windrift Adventures kennel in Moonstone, where video shows dogs chained up, reportedly left outside overnight with little shelter from the cold.
No charges have been laid but the OSPCA has ordered the kennel to provide adequate insulated shelter for the dogs, clean water and appropriate feed.
They are also ordering the kennel to have veterinarians come in to assess the sled dogs.
"The purpose of issuing an Order is to improve the well-being and/or living conditions of animals," a statement reads. "The owner of the animals is required by law to comply."
The OSPCA says this is part of the legal process moving forward, and it will continue to monitor the conditions.
