Toronto Public Health officials are warning that passengers on a flight from Switzerland might have been exposed to measles last week.
There has been a confirmed case of the infectious disease, and officials say the person infected travelled on an Air Canada flight from Zurich to Pearson airport on Tuesday, March 6th. The flight, AC 0879, arrived in Toronto at about noon that day.
Officials say that most vulnerable are infants who have not yet been immunized, pregnant women and those with weak immune systems.
Anyone on that flight is being advised to make sure you and your family have up-to-date measles vaccinations.
Otherwise, officials say you should watch for symptoms that include high fever, cold-like symptoms, sore eyes or sensitivity to light and a red rash lasting four to seven days.
