Convicted rapist and killer Paul Bernardo is due to plead for release on Wednesday.
The 54-year-old Bernardo is expected to argue he has improved himself during his 25 years behind bars.
His defence lawyer has previously said his client will take full responsibility for his crimes and is remorseful.
A lawyer for the families of his victims says he won't comment until after the parole hearing in eastern Ontario.
Bernardo was convicted in 1995 of the horrific murders of 15-year-old Kristen French and 14-year-old Leslie Mahaffy as well numerous rapes.
Handouts
Bernardo, who is designated a dangerous offender, has been eligible for parole since February.
The parole hearing comes almost two weeks after the prosecution withdrew a weapon-possession charge against him.
