A former Peel Regional Police officer, who was fired back in 2015, is in trouble with the law again.
Former Constable Carlton Watson has been charged with one count of sexual assault after a woman came forward to Peel Police in July of last year.
The alleged assault happened back in 2009 when Watson was still a cop.
He'll be back in court on March 27th to answer to the charges.
Watson was suspended with pay, back in 2011, after allegations surfaced that he was involved in a fraud scheme with a tow truck driver.
He was convicted of 40 counts of fraud, breach of trust and obstruction of justice in 2015 and sentenced to five years in jail.
"Mr. Watson was placed under arrest, and released on an undertaking with conditions." says SIU spokesperson Monica Hudon.
Interesting side note; Watson won $275,000 back in 2012, playing the Daily Keno Lottery. But at the time of his sentence, the judge pointed out that he was broke, and had to sell his house to cover expenses.
