Peel Regional Police were involved in a pair of incidents involving interactions with people overnight.
The first one occurred at a home near Montjoy Crescent and Maitland Street in Brampton at around 2:20 a.m.
Police responded to a disturbance call,which was followed by some kind of interaction.
No word on any injuries there.
Then just before 6 a.m., police responded to an abandoned vehicle call on Rathburn Road East and Meadows Blvd. in Mississauga,where they found an SUV up on a curb.
There was an interaction with a male occupant.
Both he and a Peel Regional Officer were taken to hospital.
The SIU has taken over both cases.
The SIU is an arm’s length agency that is called in to investigate any incident involving police and a member of the public that results in death, serious injury, or an allegation of sexual assault.
