While most people were shovelling the driveway, or getting the kids ready for school, a driver in Brampton was being arrested for impaired driving.
At around 7 a.m. Monday, Peel Police say they got a call from a concerned citizen at a gas station.
Constable Mark Fischer says they located the vehicle and arrested the driver.
He says they're getting more and more of these early morning calls, "either it's from people being more concerned about their own safety...or if it is in fact an occurrence of (the problem) getting worse."
Fischer says, in some cases, a driver may have had too much to drink the night before, then slept a couple of hours and think they're okay to drive.
"There's nothing that will decrease the time frame of the alcohol to leave the body," Fischer says.
