Peel Regional Police say a pedophile with multiple convictions who will soon live in Brampton is likely to re-offend and have issued a Community Safety Advisory.
Madilyn Harks, 36 and formerly Matthew Harks, will be living in the Main Street and Queen Street are of Brampton.
Harks has three convictions of sexual assault against girls under the age of eight and according to the Calgary Herald, claimed - as Matthew Harks - to have victiminzed 60 girls earlier this decade in British Columbia.
Cst. Harinder Sohi said the information to put out the advisory is based on consultation with experts and the Correctional Service of Canada.
"Harks is at an elevated risk to re-offend, I can't get into specifics, but she does have numerous conditions," he said.
Conditions include not attending public swimming areas, day-cares, school grounds, playgrounds or community centres, or from being in the presence of any children under the age of 14 unless accompanied by a responsible adult who has been approved by her parole supervisor.
Sohi said Harks' activities will be monitored by police and CSC.
"Take a look at that picture and just make sure that your kids are not around this person," he said.
He added while Harks is at an elevated risk to re-offend, she's still a citizen with Charter rights.
