An investigation into a deadly hit-and-run that happened in Brampton last summer has led to two arrests.
Peel Regional Police believe 40-year old Pritpal Leal and 38-year old Joyce Pasiecznik are responsible for the crash that killed 39-year old Paul De Pledge.
He was struck and killed by a runaway tow trailer on the morning of August 1st, as he rode his bike to work.
The collision happened in an industrial area of Bramalea, near Steeles Ave. and Torbram Rd.
Authorities believe the cargo van and trailer were stolen only minutes before the crash.
Leal is accused of 7 offenses, including criminal negligence causing death.
Pasiecznik faces 5 charges, including accessory after-the-fact.
