The next time you stop to fill up your gas tank you may find the station has none to sell you.
Dan McTeague of GasBuddy.com says the National Energy Board has asked pipeline shipper TransNorthern to reduce flow by 10%, which means gas stations in the GTA could see some supply shortages.
"I wouldn't panic," McTeague says. "Your odd station, your favourite station, may not have the gasoline supply as quickly as you want."
He says this may not lead to an increase in prices and that it's more of an inconvenience for consumers and gas stations.
Diesel and jet fuel could also be affected.
It's unclear how long the problem could take to fix but McTeague says it could be several weeks.
