A female suspect wanted for a series of thefts from Toronto area hospitals has been arrested.
27-year-old Melanie Beskorowany of Toronto, had been wanted for a theft from North York General Hospital in April.
Police allege the suspect entered the hospital at 6:34 a.m. on April 4th, then entered the employee locker area, grabbing several items, including car keys.
She then exited the hospital, and was able to locate the vehicle from the keys she stole, and drove away.
The woman had also stolen bank cards, which were later used in fraudulent transactions and is thought to be responsible for similar offences throughout Ontario.
Beskorowany faces three charges including:
1. Theft of Motor Vehicle
2. Fraud Under $5,000
3. Fail to Comply Recognizance
She is scheduled to appear in court Sunday morning.
