Toronto Police say a 28-year-old man who was already facing charges in connection to an alleged sexual assault on a minor, has been arrested once again.
Investigators have charged Shu "Andrew" Yi with two counts of sexual assault and one count of luring a child under 18, after he allegedly met a 17-year-old girl online and then lured her to a condominium in Toronto's Financial District.
According to police, he first asked her to send him nude photos of herself.
On December 18, he met her at Union Station and then took her back to his unit where she was reportedly sexually assaulted.
The suspect then proceeded to give the teenager a birth control pill to take.
Yi was previously charged with sexual interference, sexual assault and luring a child under 16 in connection to an earlier incident at a hotel.
In that incident, which took place on October 31, he allegedly met a 14-year-old girl through social media, took her to a nearby hotel and assaulted her and gave her a birth control pill afterwards.
"There's a possibility that there may be more victims," Constable Allyson Douglas-Cook told NEWSTALK1010. "He also used the username 'addme4andrew' and 'andrewITO' online, so anyone who may have seen his username online - we're asking them to call police and provide some information to help us with this investigation."
Yi's next court appearance is scheduled for January 4, 2019.
The investigation is being conducted by the Child Exploitation Section of the Toronto Police Service Sex Crimes unit.
