It would seem, a police corruption investigation that started in York Region, is now spreading further around Ontario.
Now, it's an OPP officer, stationned at the Oxford County Detachment in Tillsonburg.
The 44-year-old Constable from Ingersoll has been charged with unauthorized use of a computer.
The investigation has been on-going since February, and we first learned of charges against a pair of fficers in York Region last week.
One of them, who is a 14-year- veteran was alleged to have been involved in an attempted armed robbery of cocaine, stealing a police shotgun, trafficking steroids and cocaine and disclosing confidential police information.
The charges then spread to include a Toronto Police Detective Constable who was charged with obstruction of justice and breach of trust.
Newstalk1010's crime expert, Mark Mendelson says this information is powerful for those working in the criminal element.
That information could be anything from licence plates, names, dates of birth, and addresses, as well as criminal convictions, details on probation and even conditions on that probation.
And he suspects there could be more charges to come, since this investigation is still open.
