A high school in Ancaster went into lockdown this morning and the police emergency response team rushed in, over what ended up being an imitation firearm.
And now a former 18-year-old student is in a lot of trouble.
Officers were called just before 8 a.m. Wednesday to Bishop Tonnos Catholic high school, after reports of a teenager on a school bus with what appeared to be a gun.
The school called police and they were able to say who they were looking for.
The building was cleared and officers searched from room to room, before receiving information that the teen may have been off school property.
He was located within a couple of hours and police realized the weapon he had was a fake.
Police say they are still taking this seriously and they are still investigating what charges he might face.
The school is now closed for the day.
