Toronto police have identified a teenager killed in a shooting that happened near a school in Etobicoke over the weekend.
Police say they got a call for the sound of gunshots in the Dixon Road and Islington Avenue area around 11:45 p.m. Sunday.
Officers arrived to the parking lot near Kingsview Village Junior School to find a male with gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital, but later died from his injuries.
The victim has been identified as 16-year-old Zakariye Ali of Toronto.
Detective Steve Matthews says during a search of the area by officers two other men were found with gunshot wounds. The 18- and 19-year-olds were taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Detective Matthews says they are looking for one suspect described as a black male in his 20s, 5'7" with a slim build. He was wearing all black and last seen running north on York Road and getting into a smaller light coloured vehicle.
