Toronto Police have identified a suspect in that brazen shooting inside Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
Today, investigators released a clear image of the man wanted in connection with the incident.
He's been identified as 20 year-old Zion Sankar-Beharry of Toronto.
This comes after police were called for a sound of gunshots at Yorkdale just before 3 p.m.Thursday. It's alleged that two groups of males had some sort of altercation. Two shots were fired in the melee.
Sankar-Beharry is wanted for discharging a firearm with intent.
He was reportedly last seen around 5 p.m. in the Warden Avenue and Steeles Avenue East area Thursday.
He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.
Media Relations Spokesperson Katrina Arrogante says Sankar-Beharry is the lone suspect that police are looking for at this time. They would still like to speak with any of the other men involved in the altercation.
"There's no further indication of any further suspect. Detectives and investigators right now are only looking for Mr. Sankar-Beharry and the image is in fact quite clear, so that has helped us with identifying him."
