Toronto Police continue to search for both witnesses and more information following an altercation in Scarborough Friday afternoon that left a 49-year-old Toronto man dead.
Officers were called to the area of 2305 Markham Road and 20 Melham Court just before 1 p.m. after it was reported that two men got into a physical altercation.
When they arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from obvious trauma. He was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
The man has since been identified as Cecil Graham.
The Homicide Squad has since taken over the investigation. They say a man was last seen running southbound from the scene and they're seeking more information on him.
Graham is Toronto's 68th homicide victim of 2018.
Meantime, Police are now releasing the name of a 30-year-old man killed near Dundas and Augusta early Friday morning.
Police say at about 5 a.m., they arrived at 5 Bellevue Crescent - a Toronto Community Housing building - for reports of a stabbing.
They found Kafi Abshir suffering from obvious trauma at the scene. He died from his injuries in hospital.
Investigators say a 17-year-old boy arrested by York Regional Police for a different matter is believed to be the suspect in this case, and they expect to lay charges on Monday.
An autopsy on Abshir has also been scheduled for Monday.
With over four months left in the year, the number of murders within the city's boundaries now surpasses the total number Toronto saw all of last year.
