Toronto police have identified the man they arrested after a suspicious package was left outside their headquarters on Thursday.
The building at the corner of College and Bay Sts was placed under hold and secure, and the street closed for several hours, while police investigated.
Surveillance video showed a man placing a container on a planter right outside the front doors of police headquarters at about 1:15 p.m., and then walking away.
The bomb squad was called in and they detonated the package. Police have not revealed what was actually inside.
50-year-old James Rockwood of no fixed address was arrested and charged with mischief.
