Authorities have shut down a business in Pickering after drug enforcement officers swooped in on its regular Friday night 'farmer's market.'
Durham Regional Police started the investigation after someone someone called in a complaint that illegal cannabis products were being sold from Natural Budz Vape Lounge.
The allegation from police is that on Friday nights, up to 10 'vendors' would gather at the lounge to sell marijuana and marijuana products.
Police say the people behind the event would go out of their way to promote it, even including a DJ to play music while clients shopped.
Last Friday, investigators raided the lounge and seized magic mushrooms, along with almost $130,000 worth of cannabis and marijuana edibles, such as baked goods, chocolates, and candy.
18 people were arrested.
