For the second time in as many days, police in Peel Region are looking into reports of a drone flying in restricted airspace near Pearson Airport.
Just before noon on Friday, someone called 911 to report a small drone in the air in the area of Dixie and Derry Roads.
A witness said the drone was flying along the fence line near a runway.
It is illegal to fly a drone within a 5.6km radius of an airport without permission.
A similar scenario unfolded on Thursday but Peel Regional Police say officers were never able to track down the operator.
Const. Sarah Patten says while authorities are open to all possibilities, it isn't clear yet whether these two incidents are connected, or not.
Officials with the airport authority say the drone sighting had no effect on operations at Pearson.
