Toronto Police were outside the Air Canada Centre Friday evening, investigating the discovery of a suspicious package, which they now confirm appeared to be a toy.
Police told NEWSTALK1010 officers were called to the scene just before 5:45 p.m. after the item in question came near one of the arena's doors.
Several special units were at the scene to determine whether the package was a threat to public safety, but following a render-safe procedure, they determined the item was harmless.
No injuries were reported.
Raptors fans attending Friday night's game were told to avoid the west side of the stadium and enter through other sets of doors.
The ACC was not evacuated but people were being told to stay away from the scene due to multiple closures in the area of York, Bremner and Lake Shore Blvd.
Those areas have since been re-opened.
