Toronto police are investigating two separate shootings that took place hours apart on Sunday, including one that left a man dead.
Investigators told reporters that they were called about a man who had been shot shortly after 5 a.m..
They say that by the time officers arrived, the man was without vital signs. Alexis Charles, 46, later died at the scene.
Police say there were no witnesses at the scene when officers arrived, and they'll be canvassing the area for more information.
Investigators say they have no suspect information at this time, and are asking witnesses to come forward.
They say several hours later, in the early afternoon, two men were shot in the leg and are expected to survive.
There's no word on whether that shooting was linked to any other shooting.
There had been 412 shootings in Toronto this year as of Aug. 18, with 274 victims. Of those, 21 people had died.
