Toronto Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two people wanted in connection to an arson investigation in Scarborough.
According to police, a fire was deliberately started inside the Dollar Tree store at 814 Warden Avenue on Friday around 7 p.m.
Constable Allyson Douglas-Cook tells Newstalk1010, "It [the fire] was inside the store, in one of the aisles."
The fire produced plenty of smoke, forcing the evacuation of customers inside. According to our media partner, CTV News Toronto, nine fire trucks and 35 firefighters responded to the call.
"By the time officers arrived, the store was actually filled with smoke and there were actually customers inside of the store and they needed to be evacuated. Fortunately, there were no injuries."
Police have released a secuirty camera image of two people they are seeking who were in the store.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and can assist in identifying the two.
