It's likely that charges will be laid after a collision that left a Toronto police officer with serious injuries at Eglinton and Oakwood.
It happened just after 2:30 Thursday afternoon at the intersection.
The officer was on duty at the time but was not responding to a call when he was struck by a dark-coloured car turning out of the gas station at the street corner.
He was rushed to a trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
"It's going to be life-altering for him," said fellow officer and friend Sgt. Jeff Redden. "He's got a couple of compound fractures right now."
Police tell CP24 the driver of the car will face charges.
