Toronto police are warning people of pickpockets downtown who are stealing wallets and credit cards.
The suspects, wearing baseball caps, target victims eating at restaurants or food courts.
Police say they specifically target lunchtime crowds.
The items are taken from unattended purses and coats, left hanging on the back of chairs.
The suspects would then go to nearby stores to purchase goods with the stolen cards.
Police say that the suspects would then also use the stolen ID to commit identity fraud.
A detailed suspect description has not been provided.
