Investigators have released several security videos in an appeal to track down the suspect and the getaway vehicle in Toronto's latest homicide.
Police were called to the scene on Burnhill Road, near Warden Ave. just after 4:45 Friday morning, where they found 24-year-old Alpha Conteh suffering from gunshot wounds.
Conteh was taken to hospital where he later died from his injuries.
In a series of videos, the suspect can be seen running from the west side of Warden to the suspect vehicle, which was waiting on nearby Mack Avenue.
Police say the suspect is a male who was last seen wearing a light-coloured, possibly grey hoodie with blue jeans.
The vehicle is described as a four-door light-coloured sedan which could be a grey Nissan Altima. It was last spotted heading southbound on Warden towards Danforth Road.
Anyone who witnessed what happened or who has more information on the crime is asked to call police at 416-808-7400, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
Conteh is the city's 71st murder victim of the year.
