Police are searching for a suspect in connection with a series of armed street robberies in the downtown core over the past week.
Police say the most recent robbery happened Thursday around 12:50 a.m. in the Manning Avenue and Bloor Street west area.
They say a man was walking when he was approached by the suspect who showed him a gun and stole his wallet and iPhone.
The suspect was last seen heading northbound on Manning Avenue leaving the scene.
He is described as between 20 and 30-years-old, 5’11” to 6’ with a heavy build, moustache, and olive complexion. He was last seen wearing a dark-grey Roots hooded top, and possibly a dark ballcap under the hood, black pants, black shoes.
Police believe the suspect is also responsible for five gunpoint robberies near Queen Street West and Spadina Avenue that happened early Tuesday morning.
The man is considered armed and dangerous and if you see him you are asked to call 911 immediately.
