Toronto Police have arrested two suspects in an assault near Yorkville that left a man with life-threatening injuries, but are still searching for three more.
Police say the victim was in the Bloor Street West and Devonshire Place area around 2:25 a.m. Saturday when he got into a physical altercation with a group of males.
It is alleged the males repeatedly punched and kicked the man before fleeing the scene.
Two men in the 20's have been charged Aggravated Assault, one of them facing an additional charge of Assault with a Weapon.
Both men appeared in court at Old City Hall on Sunday.
At least three suspects are still outstanding.
Investigators are requesting the assistance of any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police or anyone who may have video of the incident.
