One man is in custody, and a second is on the loose after what started as a two-vehicle collision on Coxwell, south of O'Connor in East York.
It happened around 9 o'clock on Monday morning, at the intersection with Plains Road.
After the crash, two men in the car hopped out and started to leave. At least one boarded a TTC bus.
But there were a couple officers who witnessed the collision, and saw the two people trying to take off from the scene, jumped on the bus and tried to arrest them.
That's where a violent struggle ensued, and they were able to run away from the cops.
One was arrested a short time later.
"During the struggle, the officers indicated that it appeared at least one of the people was under the influence of alcohol, and we found some evidence that there was a significant amount of alcohol in the car." says Constable David Hopkinson from Toronto Police.
The person wanted is described as shirtless, wearing blue jeans with curly hair.
He's alleged to have lost his shoirt in the scuffle with police.
Officers responding as backup were involved in a minor collision as well.
An officer suffered minor injuries, but Hopkinson couldn't say if it was in the fight or in the minor collision.
