It looks like Toronto Police believe an early morning fire at a building on Davenport near Avenue Road, was deliberately set.
No one was injured in the fire, but a man and his dog needed to be rescued from their fourth floor balcony.
Police have told us a man is in custody, on suspicion of arson.
That man was arrested after firefighters broke down the front door of the unit to rescue the man who was barricaded inside.
So far, there's been no information released on possible charges.
