Toronto police are set to update their investigation into a murder that enraged the city.
Candice Rochelle Bobb was killed in a drive-by shooting in mid-May 2016. Bobb, who was five months pregnant, was sitting in the backseat of a car stopping in the area of Jamestown Cr and John Garland Blvd. Bobb, her boyfriend, her cousin and another man were returning from a basketball game in Toronto's east end when their car was sprayed with bullets.
Bobb was rushed to hospital, her baby boy delivered by emergency C-section at 24 weeks. Bobb was pronounced dead in hospital. Baby Kyrie died three weeks later.
Police have said the vehicle Bobb was in was targeted.
Citing police sources the CBC reported last May that the car and its occupants may have been unwittingly caught up in a gang turf war.
Police tell NEWSTALK 1010 investigators will not be announcing an arrest in the case Tuesday.
